LOOSEN UP THE BELT BUCKLES...ITS HOLIDAY SEASON!

Its that time of year again when everyone starts acting nice and bellies start to buldge. I personally am one who loves the spirit of the holidays but as of lately have failed to see the nostalgia of my younger days come back to light. What happen to lil kids dressing as indians and pilgrims and learning the spirit of giving? Now kids are learning bout the evils of the pilgrims and how they took land from the indians...don't get me wrong it is a valid point and/or lesson however I dont believe that its something that first graders should have to deal with (and we wonder why kids are growing up so fast) . Having to deal with these harsh realities can lead to some very bitter kids if you ask me. Tiss the season for sharing! With that in mind take the time to actually tell loved ones that they are just that "LOVED". People don't take the time to realize the importance of words like thank you and I love you, and I am one who has fallen subject to that on numerous occasions. However in my period of grownmandedness (ya its a new word) I have come to appriciate the so called simple things and have realized how powerful these words can be. I currently work in an office building with roughly 500 employees. I have only been here a week but have done my best to be that self-respecting nicca that my momma raised but damn people in general are just rude. Let me break it down; I have probably had visual contact with at least 75 of my jobs employees on the elevator or in passing, out of that 75 I have tried to at least smile and/or say hello. Out of that 75 I probably have only had 20 recognize that there was someone else in there presence, and out of that 20 about 5 actually took the time to say hello back and/or carry a conversation. Now don't get it twisted I just like the next have days where it just aint the time to socialize with anyone, however are we really a society that is so unfriendly? I ask my readers this, how hard is it to take the time out of your day to tell some one thank you or just to give a passing person a smile and recognition of there existance on earth? Not at all! So please this holiday season start taking time to let people know how you fell about them, especially if you appriciate them!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING ERRBODY!!!
AND YOU ALL ARE INVITED TO CLUB 6121 FOR TURKEY-SPAM, CORNPOPS STUFFING AND BERRY JELL-O(out of cranberry sauce)!!!!
